A B O U T
The Point Fortin Performing Arts Association was established in 2011 by its President/Cultural Arts Director, Playwright and Executive Producer Michelle K. Sydney. Ms. Sydney envisioned the need and dire importance for contemporary theater and creative arts in the Borough of Point Fortin and its surrounding districts, so she ventured off with her intellectual and diligent board members along with her playwright and directing skills to develop this enterprising company. Academically Ms. Sydney is a recipient of an Associate in Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor's degree in Justice Studies, but in her last year of college she pursued her true passion for cultural arts and theater. She is also the executive producer and director of the productions that T.P.F.P.A.A. produces. Now both youths and adults in the Borough will have an alternative route to get involve into acting, writing, directing, singing, dancing, steel pan, poetry and all other cultural art forms under one performing arts umbrella. Our wonderful team at T.P.F.P.A.A. understands the importance for a unique type of entertainment arena within our districts and we do believe that we can construct and deliver such services and opportunities to our constituents overall. In addition, we are excited and elated to work with the youths and guide their ambitions and goals in the performing arts culture that so many of them love and enjoy. Indeed there are countless of young men and women in Point Fortin and throughout Trinidad and Tobago who deserves the never-ending opportunities that we have to offer and with your support/contributions we all will assist them in doing so. Both our youths and young children have and always will be our future, so let us as a collective society prove to them that they can depend on us to help them accomplish their dreams and aspirations no matter what their interests may be.
